Creekside, Wednesday 7th April 2010

I have been fitting in where I can to make my notes – so it is a Wednesday as I write this.

Weather was unsettled.   Winter seemed to have returned with a vengeance, though it didn’t seem to affect plant growth.  There was a massive spurt in the week and all was cool, lush freshness.  There was more birdsong and the pigeons were swooping about as usual.  I want to film them.  Managed to capture the newts on film (much more elusive) so why not the pigeons?  The catkins have changed colour from the greyish fur to a wonderful creamy green.  Herb Robert is almost flourescent – maybe because of its reddish stalks?
