Creekside, Tuesday 4th May 2010

The sun is hot – comforting. I can see a moorhen paddling about in the shallows, the first I have seen so close to the beach. Have also just seen a white butterfly.

Creekside is a tiny patch of land but there is so much life here. Sat with my back to the rotting log and listened to the trains going past. You can hear the bells from St Pauls church in Deptford ringing the hour. More white butterflies, two, then three made a kind of calligraphy in the foliage, then a tortoiseshell.

Decided to let the day just seep into me.
