Creekside, Wednesday May 27th 2010

The thermometer had reached a tropical 30 degrees the previous day but had now plummeted to 18 – a slight shock to the system.

Though it felt relatively cold there was a lovely luminous quality to the light, perhaps due to the greyness of the sky in conjunction with the bright green of the plant life.  I thought of all I still had to do and decided to forget all about it and just sit in the fresh cool.  There were huge umbrellas of Angelica and the Dog Roses were out.  Dog Roses seem such medieval flowers to me.  Must look it up.  The red/violet leaves of Herb Robert had deepened.  There are so many plants flowering now that I simply have no clue about.
